ABCRM CHURCHES

EMPOWERED CHURCHES ACROSS THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS

ABCRM Churches

The local church is the core of ABCRM.  Local churches gather together to worship and serve God, to discern what God is calling them to do and be as the incarnated presence of Christ in their community.

ABCRM churches range in size from several thousand gathering over multiple campuses to churches that are less than ten people who gather together for prayer and Bible-study.  They are diverse in worship style, from cowboy church to highly liturgical.  Their leadership ranges from lay-trained pastors to pastors who hold multiple doctorates.

The common denominator in all is the focus on the Lordship of Christ, the study of Scripture to determine how one should live for Christ and the desire to connect in common mission and ministry.

CHURCHES

HEB10:24,25

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Church Clusters

CHURCH CLUSTERS

Churches join together to do what they cannot do separately.

Currently, ABCRM churches are grouped into geographic clusters and are served by a “Mission and Ministry Coach” and a representative on the ABCRM Board.  Each cluster is unique in how it functions, some holding regular meetings of pastors and others semi-regular gatherings for educational and worship purposes.

A Ministry and Mission Coach works with each Cluster. The functions of Ministry and Mission Coaches are

• to be empathetic and provocative listeners.
• to help frame questions that will open ministry and mission possibilities.
• to stimulate strategic thinking.
• to broker resources and networking opportunities.
• to help churches and individuals take advantage of change.
• to bring a non-anxious presence.

Of course, Ministry and Mission Coaches are available to assist with pastoral placement, other leadership issues, conflict transformation, and upon request, to provide a staff presence at local church celebrations.
