I just returned from the AB Women’s National Board and conference in Green Lake, Wisconsin. What a wonderful 10 days!
Colorado was well represented at National Conference this year. Thank you, Teresa Harrison, for making the banners displayed each day on the platform. Jackie Arnold sang a solo Thursday evening. Beautiful! Carol Weale and Jackie Arnold presented a workshop on “Hands and Words are not for hurting”. Yvonne helped with the technical side – settings up projectors, etc. for workshops, taking pictures, and assisting with the worship projection software.
The Board meeting met from Tuesday evening, July 24 thru Friday evening. My impression of the national board is a dedicated, hard working group that loves the Lord and wants Women’s Ministries to make a difference in ABC and this world. National Conference began Saturday evening, July 28 and lasted through Friday. It is a time full of opportunities for worshiping, singing, and learning. Fellowship with our sisters in Christ is a real blessing. Start planning now to go to Green Lake next year.
Each evening Lauran Bethal introduced us to women who have been trafficked into prostitution. Their stories are compelling. What an amazing ministry Lauran has.
Each morning we were inspired by Rev. Karen Selig in Bible study.
Each day we attended Connecting Groups where we came to know and support each other in a safe environment. Workshops were available each day ranging from worship to technical.
I came home tired, refreshed and inspired.
