When you gather women like Joyce Camp (right), the National Women’s Conference Chair, Chris Marziale (left) from International Ministries, and about 60 great women from Colorado, what else would you have but a wonderful time?
We did just that June 8-10 in Alamosa. We even heard a few say it was the best they had ever attended; they just
seem to get better and better. My 6 years as President ended with fun, laughter and a few tears. Our new President, Yvonne Whisenhunt’s began the same way. You will see Yvonne in the pictures section.
We had a surprise visit from “Aunt Maude” and her friend “Mixed up Mary Sunshine”. That brought a few laughs too. Talent night saw a visit from “Mary and Martha” which was a blast, plus many other talented ladies. You will need to look at the pictures from the Conference to see why. Just looking will bring you laughter.
Chris Marziale touched many people with her story of growing up in an orphanage then showing pictures of an orphanage in Bulgaria showing pictures of the children’s faces when they received bears from the Colorado women. It was very touching. She also gave us information about our Missionaries.
Joyce gave us information about the new theme “Breaking the Chain’s” and the need to stop prostitution in the world.
All in all it was wonderful. We hope you will join us next year. You never know what surprises are in store for you.
