The American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountains announce the continuation of the Empower the Small Church program with the first of a series of four video conferences addressing specific issues of concern to pastors of small churches.  The subject of the online conference will be “Making Disciples” and it will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.  The speaker will be Dr. Jeff Johnson, author of Got Style?:  Personality-Based Evangelism.  Dr. Johnson is the senior pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Hurricane WV.  He leads the National Evangelism Team for the American Baptist Home Mission Society; the team is comprised of American Baptist regional staff, pastors, and key lay leaders.

The program will consist of about an hour presentation by Dr. Johnson, followed by half an hour, or more if needed, of questions and answers and discussion by the participants.  Viewers will participate live from their own location through the Zoom conferencing software.  You are encouraged to read and complete the personal assessment in Chapter 8 of Got Style? before the conference.

Registration is online and can be reached here.  Registration deadline is May 1. Registration is $10 for new participants and free for those who participated in the in-person Empower the Small Church conference.  The fee entitles you to participate in all four video conferences.  After registration, you will receive details about how to join the conference.
